As an experienced teacher/tutor, I am currently working as the Achievement Director of Maths in a central London secondary school. Leading the Maths department over the last few years has been a challenge as the majority of the students come from low socio-economic backgrounds with very little ambition or drive. However, my maths department set out to change the stigma behind the chances of success for such students.
