I started tutoring 12 years ago because I realised that most students are not able to do their best in a classroom of 30 students whereas on a one to one basis and in a special need environment they are motivated and work very hard. Therefore when I tutor privately I get the pleasure of teaching all kinds of students, who are motivated and work very hard. On the other hand, sometimes I do get challenging students for whom I have to adapt my teaching methods and this develops my own teaching and learning cohort of strategies.

Having graduated with a 2.1 BA degree in English Literature with Creative Writing at the University of Hertfordshire, I have been tutoring English and Maths for four years, as well as some English Adult Learners. I have further experience of teaching drama workshops in primary schools and secondary schools, as well as often leading acting improvisation sessions at a drama group I belong to. I have further experience of Modern Hebrew tutoring. I tutor English for all stages from Nursery up to and including A-level standard. I tutor Maths for all ages up to KS3. I also tutor Drama for KS1, KS2, KS3 and GCSE. Having tutored a variety of children of various ages, I have been able to nurture a great diversity of teaching methods having learnt to adapt my teaching methods to the different styles of learning that inspire and engage different students, but also guiding students to think independently. I have always nurtured a very creative vision, ensuring that I am always able to make learning a fun experience in order to encourage those Eureka moments. I have strong ambition and determination in running my tutoring business, inspiring youngsters with my passion for education, ensuring children succeed to their full potential. I have strong abilities in planning and organisation, through regularly formulating lesson plans, including doing starter games. I have shown strong abilities in planning and organisation, through regularly formulating lesson plans, including doing starter games. I have strong organisational skills in completing my lessons plans, in setting homework, in providing educational resources, in marking homework. I always have a loose structure that I am also able to adapt and be flexible with that lesson plan. I have solid empathetic abilities, so I am able to relate to the needs and worries of the student, and I am considerate of their learning styles, to ensure they are able to achieve their educational goals and in order that they reach their full potential. I am able to encourage students, gaining their trust, but also able to provide constructive feedback for improvements. I focus on improvements and solutions, as opposed to problems and criticism.

As an experienced teaching professional, I believe that demonstrating energetic, approachable and creative teaching in a supportive and nurturing environment brings out the very best of children. For me, this approach has continued to enable my pupils to have a growth mind-set and try a variety of techniques and tools to help make conscious learning choices that they can transfer across disciplines. It also gives demonstrable results. As class teacher and Faculty Leader I have raised achievements in English, Maths and Art and have embedded and sustained best practice in my roles. I offera substantial bank of skills, knowledge and personal attributes, together with extensive experience of working with children that haveEAL and SEN. I am an ambitious teacher providing differentiated innovative activities and enjoyment in a varied learning environment, to ensure each pupil achieves their full potential and their young minds are inspired during their learning journey.Whilst the teaching environment is undoubtedly one that teaches educators as much as it does pupils, I am motivated and willing to ensure I continually learn new skills to support the school in every possible way.

I am a 2nd year English literature and creative writing student at the university of manchester. I have lots of experience working with children - from helping babysit kids to being an EAL teaching assistant during my GAP year in china and tutoring young students during my spare time. I think education is highly important and that there is nothing to be ashamed of if a student needs extra tutoring classes to catch up and understand the material they are being taught. it shows determination and motivation which is very respectable. it is important that a student understands what they are being taught as it will affect them in the future. i aim to help students understand and improve in their studies. I have mostly worked with foreign students - helping them improve their english and be more confident. English used to be a foreign language to me as well and i am now studying it in university, which is why i want to help others improve like i did.
